Frisco, Tx –  On Saturday ‘The Academy’ team put on a strong performance to defeat FC Dallas 3-0 in their own College Showcase tournament. The boys were missing their high school committed teammates and were majority ’02 players. They played some excellent soccer with all three goals coming in a sparkling first half display with goals from Drew Lassere, Michael Rowlands and Casey Heustess.

Unfortunately they couldn’t maintain the same level of performance into the rest of the cold, wet weekend and lost 0-2 to Springfield Mo., and the Kansas City Rush. Openings at goal were hard to come by against the fully ’01 teams and some defensive errors gifted the opposing teams.

However it was still a great weekend for exposure to college coaches and many players were contacted or identified to our coaches about potential college opportunities.
