The Oakes, Miss. –  Our two youngest teams, the ’08 and ’09 boys traveled in-state to Jackson this past weekend to participate in the Mississippi Rush tournament. It was the ’09’s who stole the spotlight winning the tournament overall and also defeating local rivals HFC by 7-0 in the process. The ’08’s scored plenty of goals in their event but also conceded a lot! Their attacking play and ball possession was excellent all weekend. They netted 8 goals in 3 games but conceded 12, knotting one game but losing two close ones.
