Gulfport, Miss. – Southern States Soccer took six teams to the Gulf Coast United tournament in Gulfport this weekend. The PDC took four developmental teams and the Academy took their 2010 and 2012 teams. The PDC was represented by the 2003, 2006, 2009, and 2011 teams. The oldest team went 1-2 in their bracket but defeated cross-town neighbors Hattiesburg Futbol Club by 4-1. The 2006 team went 1-1-1 and the 2009 team recorded a winning 2-1 record. The young 2011 team went 1-2. It was a great experience for all the PDC players and teams as they continue to improve their soccer skills.

The two Academy teams performed well with the 2012 team missing out on advancing by losing on penalty-kicks and going 1-1-1. The 2010 team won all three games to top their group and win the tournament title.
