The Southern States Soccer PDC Girls ’04 team out of Hattiesburg, traveled to Biloxi and played in two friendly games winning them both comfortably with lots of positive play to take away from the event. The girls are continuing to work hard in practice and at home and the improvements are starting to be seen in every aspect of their individual games. The weekends MVP was given to Anna Beth Garretson after giving two great performances and capping it with an amazing individual goal. Two other outstanding performances came from Kaelyn Brown and Bailee Bennett, both proving their abilities on the wings could have a devastating effect on the opposition. Team coach Jade Reynolds commented, “Overall it was a great team effort and sets us up very nicely for a week of practice followed by next weekend at the Eastern Shore Cup in Daphne, Alabama”.
