The Oakes Training Center, Oak Grove, Miss. – Proud parents Jose and Carrie Aguirre were at the side of son Jacob as he inked on the dotted line for Meridian Community College earlier this month. Jacob plays at left-back and center-back for his Academy team but in high school, wherever needed. He was a standout at South Jones and happy playing defense or offense. Jacob had offers and interest from other junior colleges and at least one NCAA D2 college offered but he decided to stay closer to home, choosing the Meridian Eagles.
