The Oakes, Oak Grove Miss – ‘The Academy’ 07 team ran out as Champions of the Alliance Cup in Meridian, Miss. even with a number of ‘08s playing up. The team played some neat passing football winning all four games including over our neighbors Hattiesburg FC. There were also wins over the New Orleans Spartans, Brandon and FC Alliance the host club.
The younger 09/10 team lost two close games and won one but also played some good passing football.
Meanwhile In Alabama the ‘04 team made it through to the tournament final taking the second place prize.
