The Oakes, Miss. – Our ‘05 and ‘07 teams both cruised to tournament success at the Open Cup in Decatur, Alabama this past weekend, easily storming their age groups to take the Championships. Our combined 02/03 group were in good form but lost a top level semi-final game to the Darlington School Academy from Rome, Georgia. Twice ahead at 1-0 and 2-1 the boys were pegged back and lost the game deep into the second overtime period by 2-3. Despite the bad weather all teams coped well and learned a lot again under difficult conditions.
