Houma, La –  The Southern States girls traveled to Houma, Louisiana this past weekend and took second place in the tournament. The girls topped the number one seed of the tournament in the semi-final. Following a 1-1 tie in regulation the game went into an intense penalty shootout. Abigail Capasso (pictured) who was playing two years above her age group, scored the vital winning penalty-kick. Unfortunately the final was called-off due to heavy rainfall and the home team took top spot via tie-break methodology.
Coach Jade Reynolds responded, “I am so proud of these girls and their fight to achieve the goals we’ve set this year”. The SSS girls have now traveled to five tournaments this season and finished in second place in three of them. The girls under Jade’s care have shown an astonishing improvement and dedication over the two years of her leadership and coaching
