‘The Academy’ 2001 boys team came home from Memphis as the John Talley Showcase Champions last weekend. The boys defeated the Darlington Soccer Academy in Rome, Georgia by 2-0 on Saturday morning and a team from Indiana by 4-0 in the afternoon. On Sunday they eventually overcame stubborn resistance from the Mississippi Rush team out of Jackson by a score of 5-0 with a flurry of second-half goals.
