Atlanta, GA –  Last weekend ‘The Academy’ took two teams to Georgia for the Showcase Atlanta event. The weather was extremely cold and rainy at times and affected most games. The 2005 team led by coach Tony Marriel managed a second place finish with a 1-1-1 record. The boys played up in age group against extremely strong opposition and did an excellent job representing themselves and the team. The 2002 team weren’t so successful with their results losing all three games. Unfortunately a less than full strength team due to absentees and injury struggled to produce the form necessary to win any games but they showed distinct courage and an excellent work-rate to compete all the same.
