Reynolds Adds Four
The Oakes Training Center, Oak Grove, Miss. – Following the invitation-only tryout held at the Oakes last Saturday, Stars head coach Carl Reynolds has named four players to his roster for the 2021 NPSL season.
Pictured with their new coach is (Left-to-Right) Dalton Morgan, Elean Farjardo, JR Cozine, and Austin Fain.
Dalton Morgan plays his soccer at Belhaven University in Jackson, Miss. Dalton was named to the ASC pre-season watch list. Dalton is from Ellisville, Miss. and played at Jones County Junior College before moving to Belhaven. He plays out wide and can play on either flank.
Elean Fajardo is no stranger to the Oakes. He had a very successful time playing for our under-19 NPSL team in the pilot league last fall. His strong performances have rightly earned him a place on the Stars minor league team roster. The Stars say welcome back Elean.
John Robert Cozine or ‘JR’ is from Decatur, Georgia. JR can play anywhere through the midfield. His previous teams include USC Upstate as a collegiate player and Dayton SC (Florida), in the United Soccer Leagues D2.
Austin Fain has signed on with the Stars and also hails from Decatur. A former midfielder at Anderson University, Austin looks to bring some skill and flair to the Stars as they enter their inaugural season.
Coach Reynolds was impressed by all four of these players at the tryout and is looking forward to working with them.”The tryout was a very worthwhile event. We gave some kids a chance to see the level and look to make the grade. Not everyone can be successful but these four certainly showed us the promise we were looking for”, said Reynolds.
