New President of Southern States Soccer Rambod Rouhbakhsh

Following the recent resignation of Paul Roblin as President of Southern States Soccer the owners are pleased to announce Dr. Rambod Rouhbakhsh of Laurel, Mississippi as our new President. Dr. Rouhbakhsh hails from the northwest region of the U.S. and was team physician for the Portland Timbers during his time there. A former collegiate player himself he has two children playing in the program and is married to wife Darcy. Dr. Rouhbakhsh is the Associate Program Director for the Forest General Hospital Family Medicine Residency and the CMO of BeneMedical.

Dr. Rouhbakhsh said he was ‘honored’ to accept the role and was ‘excited to continue the great work started under former President Paul Roblin’. Everyone at Southern States Soccer recognizes the outstanding contribution made by Paul and his wife Lee during the foundation of the club. While they step aside to concentrate on becoming regular soccer parents again and enjoy watching their son Noah in action, we welcome Rambod to the board.

A further addition to the board is Dr. Frank LaRussa a long time native of Birmingham, Alabama. Dr. LaRussa has more than 20 years experience as a parent and fan of youth soccer. He and his wife Christine have five children, the youngest ‘Topher’ plays on The Academy 2003 team.
