Pensacola, FL – The Southern States SC Stars were beaten by 4-1 at Pensacola FC on Friday night. The Stars created their own troubles as the home team jumped out to a 3-0 lead within the first 15 minutes. The defense had trouble dealing with corner-kicks and high balls and with the blustery crosswind, PFC took full advantage. PFC went four up before Romar Smith pulled a goal back for the Stars. The goal provided a lifeline and hope that the second half might turn the game around. Despite a much-improved display, the Stars couldn’t find a goal to narrow the gap and Pensacola held out for a comfortable win. Stars go to 2-1-2 on the season and host Port City next Friday, October 16th at 7.00 pm.
