Oak Grove, Miss. –  Southern States Soccer is proud to assist The Ball Project Foundation in providing balls for under-privileged children for Christmas 2019. This is the 19th year of The Ball Project. Project leader Joe Garvin explained, “The Ball Project is continuing to try to meet the needs of as many young people as possible in our area”. By donating balls of all kinds as well as clothing and equipment The Ball Project sends these donations across southern Mississippi and out into the world beyond through charitable organizations, mission groups and churches.

Following our Thanksgiving break we are asking all members of Southern States Soccer to donate a new ball or balls – soccer balls, basketballs, footballs, volleyballs, tennis balls, bouncy balls, play balls, crazy balls, beach balls, baseballs, cricket balls, handballs or new sporting equipment and clothing. You can bring the items by the office at The Oakes or look for the ball containers placed in the Futsal Center.

The donation period will run through to Saturday December 14th following that weeks Little Kickers and Pre-Academy games which kick-off at 9.00am through 12.00 noon. After the little guys get finished we will host FREE CO-ED futsal games for beginners, novices and first time players until 2.00 pm. There will be FREE coffee and donuts for those watching on as the kids get their chance to see their parents, aunts, uncles, grandparents, friends and neighbors in action! Come play and enjoy the fun!

Please invite your friends and family to the event on Saturday, December 14th when we will hand over all donations to the Ball Project and enjoy some fun co-ed games at the completion of the Little Kickers and Pre-Academy Winter 1 season.  https://ballproject.com/
