‘The Academy’ in talks with Spanish group

Oak Grove, MS  –  Our good friend Inaki Erana visited with us in Jackson, Mississippi recently at the Crossroads of the South Tournament. Inaki has been instrumental in helping to set up both our trips to Spain in the past few years, the friendship growing from connections with Nigel Boulton and Carl Reynolds. Nigel recruited top level college players from Inaki and Carl actually coached within the youth set-up at Inaki’s hometown club Sporting Gijon for a while.

Inaki is an owner of USE America and a consultant with Sport and Education International. His trip was business and pleasure and his associates with SE&I were interested in a co-operative effort to bring players to Spain for training and to return the favor with players from Spain making the opposite trip. There was also discussion about camps involving the RFEF (Royal Spanish Football Federation) both here and in Spain.

The talks were cordial and laid the groundwork for further discussion and direction in the coming months.
